Saturday, February 17th:
Last month's recording session in Prague was a huge success, and we managed to record the basic tracks for 14 new songs. Now it's up to me to record the vocals and final guitar parts, including the solos (of course), and I agonize over those! The daily search is for the most appropriate guitar sounds for each part. If I only had two amplifiers, that would be easy, but I have over 30, and sometimes it takes awhile to find the best amp/cabinet/microphone combination! It certainly is fun, but also a bit time-consuming. I am hoping to get much of the work completed before I leave for the March tour in Europe, and that includes some backing vocals from local songstress legend Gina McCann.
If you are part of the Riff-Riders group, you will hear some songs that are nearly finished!
We are all very excited about the new batch of songs, which we feel are very strong! Stay tuned and rock on!
